5th and 6th Grade Tackle Football

Youth tackle football program for students entering 5th & 6th grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Basic football techniques, position techniques, team plays, and SAFETY will be the key elements taught in this program. This is a padded, full-contact activity.  The Minnewaska Football Association will provide helmets, pads, pants, jerseys, and mouth guards. Cleats (rubber soles only)/shoes, athletic cup, etc., will be the player's responsibility.  

Approximately six games are to be played within the Willmar football league. Tentative games are on Thursday nights @ 7:00 p.m. Game schedule is TBD. Possible other scrimmages throughout the season.

USA Football-certified coaching staff.

Equipment handout/ Parent meeting is on August 8th, time TBD 

Practice Schedule:

Monday’s – Aug. 10, 17, 24 & 31 - September 14, 21, & 28 - October 5 @ 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday’s Aug. 12, 19, & 26@ 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Saturdays – Aug. 15, 22, & 29 - September 5, 12, 19, & 26 - October 3 & 10 @ 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. 

Cost: $150.00 Registration (includes T-shirt)

$80 Equipment Deposit (due at equipment handout day) 

$80 will be refunded to you once all equipment is returned and in good condition.
