Junior Laker Dance Competition Team: Grades 5–6

The Junior Laker Dance Competition Team offers dancers the opportunity to further develop their kick and jazz skills while building confidence, teamwork, and performance ability in a positive and encouraging environment. This extended season includes multiple performance opportunities and the chance to compete against other schools’ dance teams.

Dates: September 10th, 2026 – January 7th, 2027
(No Practice 11/26 | Practice Held on 12/29 During Winter Break)

Time: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Jazz: Tuesdays | Kick: Thursdays
6:15 pm – 7:30 pm

Where: Central Square
Cost: $225 per dancer
Grades: 5–6

Performance Shirt: Included at no cost

Competition Uniform: Approximately $60 for dancers to keep. Uniforms are designed to be reused for two seasons whenever possible. Future fundraising opportunities are being explored to help offset uniform costs for families.

• December 10th Performance Showcase
• Minnewaska Dance Team Invite on January 7th
• Possible additional away competition (TBD)

Note: Jazz shoes are required but not included in the registration fee. Shoes may be ordered through Ms. Kristen on the first day of practice if dancers do not already have a pair from previous dance classes.
