Kindergarten Here We Come!Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)This engaging parent/child class is designed to help families prepare for the exciting transition to kindergarten. Come to school each week with your child to learn about all things kindergarten! Each session will focus on a different school-related topic such as: visiting the lunchroom, a bus ride and discussion about expectations, a visit with a kindergarten teacher and the school nurse, touring different areas of the building & playground safety. Children will enjoy hands-on activities that build school readiness, while parents participate in discussions, gain insights, and receive helpful tips to support their child’s journey into kindergarten. Bussing to the ASP is provided for students in 4th-6th grade. Attendance can be full-time, part-time or drop-in; however, the child must be registered online to attend. Parents/Guardians are responsible for making changes to child's schedule. An automated payment withdrawl will be made every two weeks. A late fee of $10 will be charged for late payments. If minnewaska Area Schools are closed due to inclement weather or an emergency, there will NOT be any School Age Child Care offered.
